Okay, so I've been mulling things over the last few days and finally have enough words on the matter to put something together.
We all know that Tad and Blaze eventually leave NYC and there seems to be a chance that some amount of the alliance could have the opportunity to leave the planet. Whether or not Blaze herself leaves is still to be seen. Personally, I think she will stay and in time Tad will stay on Earth as well. But regardless of that, we know that Blaze and Tad do end up having children. Somewhere along the line Tellon Blaze appears and we are told that he is from Zeus, Beta Sector's capital planet. So some amount of their family must have moved to Zeus in Beta Sector as the Blaze clan was founded before Tellon was born. How much before Tellon was born, we don't know yet.
Eventually we have Draco and Jarra show up as Tellon's decendants. We keep getting hints that something about Draco and Jarra's parentage is important. We've talked that over some already in the other thread and have some ideas, but whatever it is, it's important enough that common knowledge of it is kept secret as only those in the Tell clan and the current GM know the truth. I suspect that secret is only given to those who go through that coming of age ceremony. Meaning that Jarra will eventually learn it. (YAY)
But secrets aside, Draco and Jarra each have decendants of their own. Drago, Dracia, Persephone, Jaxon, Gemelle, and Jarra have all been named outright. And if I'm remembering correctly Jarra's dad had other siblings so there are probably other cousins that decend from the original Jarra. Knowing that Drago and Jarra both carry the same kind of genetic "secret" due to their grandparents I've been wondering a lot of things. The biggest thing I keep coming back to is Renton's choice, or lack thereof, in needing to have either Drago or Jarra take that special promotion mentioned in Your Move,Drago. He says that only Drago or Jarra are suitable for this position and suggests that it's due to popularity concerning recent events that have taken place. However, the more we learn of their possibly special genetic history, the more I'm thinking Renton's decision goes deeper than that. He is the current GM afterall and would know that secret parentage. What if Renton only had that conversation with Drago because of who his great grandparent might be? Yes, Drago has natural leading abilities and so does Jarra, but what if they both have that ability because of who they are decended from? What if their ability to inspire others is part of why Renton needs one of them in this new and special position? I suspect that we will get more information in connection to this in either the next Aftermath book or the first of the Fortuna books.
I'm interested to hear what you guys think though. Am I a nardle to think that there is a bigger puzzle than what we can see happening in the Tell Clan, and particularly with our two most popular clan members?
