As a gentes maiores clan, ancestors of the August clan were among the Founding Families of Zeus.
The August clan was likely founded in the early 2400s when the Betan worlds were forming the clan system.
During or shortly after the Thetis Chaos Year the August clan had some falling out with the new Tell Clan and the rest of the Military Alliance.

During the Second Roman Empire (2605-2658), the head of the August clan, Haran Augustus, lead Beta Sector in declaring independence and Haran became Emperor. The role was passed down in the clan to his sons and grandsons.

- He is the head of the August clan council in Beta Sector and one of the Parliament of Planets representatives for Zeus. He only appears in the second half of Earth Flight.
- Juliana Augusta Helena
- She is Lucius Augustus Gordianus' daughter and the mother of an infant son born with Immune Syndrome. She attends Jarra and Fian's Betrothal ceremony along with her baby.

Formal Naming Conventions[]
The clan prefix for male clan members is "Augustus" and for female clan members it is "Augusta". The August clan seems to use these full, formal clan prefixes more than other clans do, like the Tell clan.
